A young boy tragically died while he and his family were on vacation and riding dirt bikes, according to police in Canada.
Hamilton police said that the 12-year-old boy, who was not identified, was riding a dirt bike on his own when he lost control and crashed.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Monday around 5:30 p.m., while the boy and his family were riding the bikes on Binbrook Road and Fletcher Road.
At some point, the boy and his family members became separated. A family member later found the boy, who had fallen off the dirt bike and was unconscious.
Apparently, the boy lost control of the bike and suffered serious injuries, knocking him unconscious. When paramedics arrived at the scene, the child had no vital signs.
He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
