A World Full of Wickedness and Bitterness: Where Is Our Humanity?

A World Full of Wickedness and Bitterness: Where Is Our Humanity?

by RBB_Wrytes

We live in a world that’s increasingly bitter. A world where love is professed publicly but withheld privately. Where help is given but rarely appreciated. Where pain is ignored until it becomes a eulogy.

We say “I love you” to the person next door, yet our hearts whisper otherwise.
We smile in photos, but harbor resentment in silence.
We accept help, but feel entitled to it – forgetting that gratitude is a virtue, not a weakness.

The “Everyone’s Going Through Something” Syndrome

It’s tough to speak out.
Why?
Because we’ve normalized silence.
“Everyone’s going through a lot,” we say.
But that phrase has become a shield – one that blocks empathy, connection, and healing.

“I can’t stand you because we’re not of the same calibre.”
This mindset breeds division.
It turns potential allies into enemies.
It values status over substance.

Competence is overlooked.
Talent is ignored.
Why?
Because religion, ethnicity, or tribe doesn’t “fit.”
We let bias cloud our judgment – choosing comfort over fairness.

When someone stumbles, we walk away.
We write them off.
We forget that down moments don’t define a person – they reveal who needs us most.

We chase relevance online while abandoning those who matter offline.
We trade family for followers.
We forget that love isn’t measured in likes – it’s felt in presence.

We let tribalism, faith, and socio-economic status dictate our choices.
We ignore what’s right – because it’s not convenient.
But truth isn’t tribal.
It’s universal.

Final Thought: Before You Became Who You Are…

You were human.
Not a title. Not a league. Not a follower count.
Just human.

Life is worthless when humanity is lacking.
So today – before anything else – practice humanity.
Not because it’s easy.
But because it’s necessary.
