A young woman was heartbroken when her husband divorced her to be with her mother.
22-year-old Suraj Mahto of India, left his wife and their young son to marry his mother-in-law, 42-year-old Asha Devi, who was a married woman.
The affair began when Devi went to stay with her daughter, Lalita, and her husband in the village of Puraini, Bihar, last year in order to help her out.
During her stay, Devi took care of her son-in-law when he got sick, and when he returned home, the two were constantly talking and visited each other.
When Lalita found out about the affair, she told her father and she ordered her mother to stay away, but she refused.
Devi and Mahto eloped and they got married on June 1. However, things didn’t go as expected and after just two months of marriage, they decided to get a divorce.
Devi said that she realized it was a mistake and she asked her former son-in-law for a divorce.
Devi said that they have already filed a petition in court for a divorce. “I want to go back to my husband as soon as possible,” she said.
Mahto said that he too, realized that he made a mistake and he is working on winning his first wife back, but so far, he was not successful.
