The injured soldier son of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has been discharged from hospital.
Lt Col Adeboye Obasanjo was wounded in battle on Monday, September 8, 2014 after being attacked by Boko Haram members while leading a platoon in Adamawa state.
Daily Trust reports that the younger Obasanjo has been discharged from the Federal Medical Centre in Yola where he was being treated.
An official of the hospital reportedly said:
“He had a minor injury and he was treated and discharged,” a senior official said. “He received the best attention that we could possibly offer and he responded quickly.”
Reports also have it that he was speedily discharged due to concerns for his safety.
The Information Officer of the hospital, Mallam Adamu Dodo confirmed the story, saying:
“There is also the issue of his safety given the attention the story has been getting”
Adeboye was visited by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and other dignitaries during his at the hospital.
