The “Stay” songstress was on hand to pick up her Fashion Icon Award, which she teared up talking about, when she discussed the honor with fashion guru and Vogue contributing editor André Leon Talley at the Mat Ball a couple of weeks ago. “Honestly [I’m] very honored,” she said. “Humbled at the same time. I can’t believe it when I think about where I started and where I came from, being from the islands.
