“One thing you got to get used to is being pushed and shoved around
here in Shanghai,” Disney Dwayne says upon entering the treacherous
grounds of Shanghai Disneyland in a video that the park likely won’t be using to attract visitors on its official site.

As you might expect, Disney Dwayne
is a huge Disney fan and has already visited all the other Disneylands
that the world has to offer. Recently, he made a trip to Shanghai’s
newly-opened park along with his friend Adrian. While he enjoyed much of his experience during his two days inside the park, there were a few things that he didn’t like.

Mainly, the unruly crowds that invaded his personal space, blocked
his views with umbrellas and sat slovenly inside The Enchanted Storybook
Castle, the largest and tallest Disney castle ever designed — which
has also become a refuge for many sweaty visitors.

In the video, the two friends stand awestruck as they survey the
chaos unfolding around them. Dwayne even quips, “China… China…
China… And where am I from? China.”
He ends the video watching a mom letting her little boy pee off and on the sidewalk.

Apparently, there was even more footage left on the cutting room floor:

DisneyDwayne
finds out what the general behavior of the crowds are like in Shanghai
Disneyland. Be prepared! (What I didn’t capture was a little girl who
pulled her shorts down. She was naked and running around for a good
amount of time. I just couldn’t and it would be wrong to film it. Also
another bunch of schoolgirls who were pulling and snatching for more
stickers than already offered to them by a Cast Member. Not forgetting a
whole crowd of people opening every emergency exit door they saw to go
exploring).

But really, all of this isn’t anything new if
Dwayne had just been following the news about the park. Even before it
was opened, tens of thousands of tourists arrived to trash the grounds.
Later, in an effort to curb this kind of “uncivilized behavior,” the
Shanghai government released an informative etiquette guide for
tourists, featuring 6 things they should absolutely not do:
littering, defacing public facilities, harming plants and trees, lying
down in the grass, cutting in line and general uncivilized behavior.

The guide seems to have had little effect. Soon after Shanghai Disneyland opened in June, more pictures hit the web showing the grounds littered with garbage. So, really, what’s one more peeing kid?

Though one must wonder, if Disneyland visitors continue to treat the
park like this, what can we expect it to look like in one year’s time…
