The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of six people by gunmen in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state.
Commissioner of Police Lanre Ogunlowo said the victims, all marketers from a Lagos-based real estate firm, were kidnapped at Oyebola village during a site visit on Friday.
According to Ogunlowo, the group had travelled to inspect land for marketing purposes when they were seized by armed men. โIt was during their visit to this land that the six people were abducted,โ he explained.
The commissioner said a manhunt had been launched to rescue the victims and bring the perpetrators to justice. โThe command has been on it since, and we shall definitely ensure that these people regain their freedom,โ he added.
