National Assembly Appoints Bashir Abubakar as Chief Commissioner, Approves 37 others

The leadership of the National Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Bashir Abubakar as the new Chief Public Complaint Commissioner for the Federation, in accordance with the Public Complaint Commission (PCC) Establishment Act.

Additionally, 37 other federal commissioners have been appointed to represent the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This announcement was made in a statement signed by Dr. Barde Umoru, Secretary of Research and Information, on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly, Sani Magaji Tambawal. According to the statement, the appointments align with Section 2(1) of the PCC Establishment Act.

The newly appointed commissioners include:

  • Ekiti: Olayisade Akintade Charles
  • Borno: Abatcha Maaji

  • Osun: Adekunle Alao
  • Jigawa: Barde Usman Shehu
  • Adamawa: Maryam Dalhatu Abdulmalik
  • Bayelsa: Barr. Ronke Binawari
  • Cross River: Dr. Owa E. Owa
  • Delta: Mathew Uduaghan
