Last week, 4 public unions went on strike on the grounds that the lack of personnel in the Nicosia Traffic Department Licenses Unit was not eliminated.
The strike, which was initiated at the Nicosia Traffic Department Licenses Unit, expanded to include the Kyrenia Driving Licenses Unit.
Director of Kamu-Sen Metin Atan, who made a statement to the Cyprus Post about the victims experienced by the citizens in the units, said, โWe do not have a problem with the citizens, the Ministry of Transport should solve the issueโ.
Atan stated that the insensitivity of the Ministry of Transport continues, and as a result, the citizens have difficulties.
“EMPLOYEE DIRECTED TO OTHER PLACES, 1 PERSON IS WORKING IN THE UNITS”
Emphasizing that the purpose of taking action is very clear and clear, Atan said that they disrupted the certain system in their hands and that employees were directed to other places. Atan said, โEmployees fell from three to one, the weight on them increased and all the work was left to one person.โ
Stating that the Driver’s License Unit contributed between 5 and 8 million to the financial coffers, Atan underlined that this was also prevented in this case.
Noting that they also talked to the victims, Atan said, “We are talking, but it is up to the Ministry of Transport to solve the problem.”
Reminding that the action started in Nicosia, Atan said, “We continued in Kyrenia because they did not contribute and care, now we will continue in Famagusta,” adding that their aim is not to cause distress.
Atan noted that as long as the strikes are not resolved, the strikes will continue.
