Security agents yesterday killed four sit-at-home enforcers in Anambra State.
The incident occurred in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area (LGA).
Police spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu, said the hoodlums confronted the security operatives while on patrol.
Also yesterday, hoodlums listed nine local government areas in Anambra for an attack.
They are Ihiala, Aguata, Nnewi South, Awka North, Awka South, Idemili North, Idemili South, Orumba South, Orumba North and Anambra East
A resident was said to have picked up a note in which the hoodlums asked security operatives to get ready for โactionโ.
But the authenticity of the message could not be confirmed.
It reads: โThese local government areas should wait for us soon. We are warning our dear professor that it is time for action and not time to speak big grammar and talking.
โAll the security men occupying Biafraland should get ready for action.โ
The hoodlums said there would be no peace until the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu was released.
โGo and tell theโฆPresident to release our oga (boss), Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or face continuous war. Final warning,โ they wrote.
Most residents of Enugu State deserted their businesses for the second day running following a viral voice note ordering a sit-at-home.
The voice note by a teenager had warned Southeast residents to stay at home on Monday, yesterday and today or be killed.
The reason, according to the threats, was to show solidarity with Kanu, who is scheduled to appear in court today.
No shopping complex or market, filling stations, schools, restaurants, and banks opened in the state, especially in the state capital.
A civil society organisation, the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), called for an overhaul of intelligence and security services in the Southeast.
The group, which lamented the failure of security agencies in the region to arrest the situation, called for urgent action.
In a statement by its Principal Officers, Emeka Umeagbalasi and Obianuju Igboeli, the group condemned the rising spate of attacks on critical public utilities, especially Mondayโs attack on EEDC Ogidi Business District in Anambra State where 32 utility vehicles were set ablaze.

President of All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Anambra chapter, Mr Jovita Arazu, said the West African Senior School Certificate Examination was ongoing in the state.
Arazu, the Principal of Igwebuike Grammar School, Awka, said the sit-at-home did not disrupt the examination.
Students of both private and public secondary schools in Abia State also sat for the examination.
Markets in Aba, including Ariaria International Market, Ahia Ohuru, Cemetery Market, Shopping Center, Umuahia Main Market and others were open but recorded a low turnout.
The sit-at-home was said to have been declared by a faction of IPOB led by one Simon Ekpa.
