A group of retired management staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 commend the Executive Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa for his good work in the Commission.

The group led by His Royal Majesty, Dr. David Tukura, a former Commandant of the EFCC Academy, commended the chairman for displaying purposeful leadership and giving the Commission a new direction. They expressed joy at the reforms and transformation which the EFCC has witnessed since Bawa assumed office as Chairman, adding that, โ€œwe can now look back and say we were privileged to have worked here.โ€

They offered prayers, asking God to imbue the Executive Chairman with divine wisdom and protection to enable him carry out his delicate assignment diligently.

In his response, Bawa expressed happiness at the visit, while recalling fond memories of his encounter with members of the delegation while they were in service. He thanked them for their service to the EFCC, noting that โ€œthey have laboured and contributed to what the Commission is todayโ€.

He used the opportunity to update the retirees on the numerous reform measures under implementation and others still being contemplated, while urging them to feel free to share ideas with him on how to take the Commission to greater heights.

โ€œI am so honored to have you back; please feel free to call and let us know areas we are right or wrong or where there should be improvement. We will be happy to welcome you,โ€ Bawa said.

Others on the delegation were Bukar Abba, a former Director, Finance and Account; Maโ€™aji Abba Aji, a former Director, Organizational Support,  Bako Mohammed, former Deputy Director and Head of Servicom; Hajia Aisha larai Musa, former Deputy Director and Head of Creative Communications Unit and Joseph Uzor, retired Assistant Director, Legal and Prosecution.
