A two-week training is ongoing for staff of Ibom FADAMA Micro-Finance Bank ahead of its official opening in Uyo.
Governor Udom Emmanuel will perform the ceremony which will mark a new dawn in line with his administration determination to make agriculture a business hub for Akwa Ibom farmers.
At the flagging of the training today, Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Glory Edet thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for giving top priority to agriculture.
She described Akwa Ibom as the second in the country with FADAMA Microfinance Bank.
Dr. Edet said the feat was Governor’s Udom Emmanuel’s fulfilled promise to farmers which will enable them access loans and other agric benefits.
The Commissioner expressed confidence in the capacity of the resource persons, advising the participants to take advantage of the training.
The Managing Director of the Bank, Mrs. Imabong Etuk saluted Dr. Edet for translating the agriculture ideologies of Governor Udom Emmanuel to reality.
Among the resource persons are the Lead trainer, Mrs Winifred and Sir Oscar Isobara.
