FEC honours former Kwara MILAD, Aboki-Abdallah

President Buhari presides over Federal Executive Council Meeting in State House on 24th Feb 2021

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday observed one-minute silence for former Kwara Military Administrator, Brigadier-General Ahmed Aboki-Abdallah (Rtd.), who died recently.

Just before the commencement of the weekly virtual meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, called on Cabinet members to stand in honour of the departed former military administrator, who was also a former Minister of Communications.


Aboki-Abdallah served in the Federal Executive Council as Minister of Communications and later Social Development, Youth and Sports during President Buhariโ€™s era as the military Head of State.
He later became the Military Administrator of Kwara State from 1987-1988.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), the SGF and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, are physically attending the virtual FEC meeting.
Ten Ministers also in physical attendance, including those of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed; Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami; Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nanono; and Education, Adamu Adamu.
Others are Ministers of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire; Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mohammed Bello; Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouk; Trade, Industry and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; as well as Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige.
The Head of Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan and other Ministers are participating in the weekly cabinet meeting from their various offices in Abuja.
