The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has congratulated the Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi on his 62nd birthday.
In a special message he personally signed, Senator Omo-Agege lauded the Delta North lawmaker for devoting his life to public service with extraordinary courage, resilience and tenacity of purpose.
While stressing that Nwaoboshi remains an inspiration to many, Omo-Agege lauded him for his patriotism and commitment to nation building.
He said: “Today, we celebrate the birthday of the Distinguished Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District and the Ide of Okpanam, Senator (Barr.) Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi on the special occasion of his 62nd birthday.
“Senator Nwaoboshi has devoted his life to public service with extraordinary courage, resilience and tenacity of purpose. We appreciate his commitment and the incredible amount of work he has done.
“For over 41 years, โthe Oracleโ as he is popularly known, has served in different capacities. He was an aide to the Military Governor of the defunct Bendel State, Late Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia, he was Chairman of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Political Adviser to Governor James Ibori of Delta State, Commissioner for Agriculture and Special Duties in Delta State, two-term State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, and Chairman of The Raw Materials Research and Development Council. He was first elected Senator in 2015 and reelected in 2019 where he has been serving as Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta.
“In all these positions, Nwaoboshi has been an inspiration to his people, working tirelessly to attract important development projects to his constituency and advance the socio-economic development of Delta state.
