โTo respond to your question the mortality in the Isolation centre, I want to tell you that as at today, we have twenty confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Yobe state. Then four people have died. Three died here in Damaturu and one in Nguru. All the people that died are suspected to have the disease because their samples were collected but the results came after they have died. I want to point out that all the people that died were presented very late to the health facilities and isolated. Of course almost all of them have underlying illness,โ Dr. Gana informed.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) is contrary to the commissionerโs claim as the NCDC records indicates 12 active COVID-19 cases in the state and 1 death making a total of 13 in the state.
