Pro-Biafra group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Sunday announced that its Leader, Nnamdi Kanu will make a broadcast tonight.

According to the group, Mr Kanu will speak on recent events in the country especially the attack by suspected members of the group on former Senate Deputy President, Ike Ekweremadu in Germany.

The Nation had reported how Mr Ekeremadu was attacked on Saturday in Nuremberg Germany where he was to give a keynote speech during the New Yam Celebration of Igbo Community in that country.

IPOB had claimed responsibility for the attack and threatened that its members have an order from Mr Kanu to attack Leaders from the Southeast especially the Governors from the zone and Ohaneze President-General, Nnia Nwodo in over 100 countries of the world where its members reside.

The attack also attracted condemnations from the Federal Government, Southeast Governors Forum, main opposition party PDP and Nwodoโ€™s Ohaneze Ndigbo.

Spokesman of the group, Emma Powerful in a statement said the broadcast by Kanu will take place at 7pm tonight on Radio Biafra.

Mr Powerful said other issues to be addressed tonight by Mr Kanu are the state of insecurity in the country especially the kidnapping and killings in the Southeast region.

โ€œOwing to overwhelming public demand and need to address head-on matters arising from the Nuremberg incident, our indifatiguable leader and most accomplished prophet of our time Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will tonight address the world on Radio Biafra and affiliate platforms at 7 pm Biafraland Timeโ€, he said

โ€œWith Enugu and Ebonyi State on the verge of capitulation to criminality, violence and Miyetti Allah domination, conspiratorially complimented by yet another round of military invasion of the East starting tomorrow, our leader shall ventilate these issues and offer guidance on what shall become the fate of corrupt politicians, collaborators and their families whenever they set foot on foreign soilโ€

โ€œOur own revolution has commenced and things will never be the same again. Its up to other ethnic nationalities to deal with corrupt politicians and merchants of misery within themselvesโ€.

โ€œWe have started ours and Nuremberg is only a tip of the iceberg. Let the #Revolution start nowโ€, Powerful said.

Mr Kanu has been in exile since the Nigerian Army raided his Umuahia, Abia State country home during the Operation Python Dance in 2017.

Kanu, who was then on bail for his treason trial, escaped from Nigeria during the army operation.

The federal government designated IPOB as a terrorist organisation on September 18, 2017, under the Terrorism (Prevention) Act 2013.

IPOB and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu are campaigning for an independent country of Biafra made up of ethnic Igbos in todayโ€™s Southeast Nigeria.

The Igbo are predominantly found in the five Southeast States of the region namely Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo.
