Burnley have confirmed the signing of Stoke City striker Peter Crouch, with forward Sam Vokes going the other way on a quiet transfer deadline day.
Former England international Crouch returns to the Premier League at the age of 38, having played for six Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, in his career.
He has signed a short-term deal with Burnley until the end of the season.
Elsewhere on Thursday, Cardiff signed versatile midfielder Leandro Bacuna from Reading on a 4-1/2-year deal for an undisclosed fee, the Premier League side said on Thursday.
Bacuna is the clubโs first January signing since forward Emiliano Sala, who joined the club from Nantes earlier in the window, went missing in a light aircraft over the English Channel last week.
Newcastle meanwhile have completed the permanent signing of forward Miguel Almiron from Major League Soccer champions Atlanta United for an undisclosed fee.

Spanish midfielder Denis Suarez has joined Arsenal from Barcelona on loan until the end of the current campaign, the Premier League club confirmed.
