Three children die in Jigawa gas explosion

Three children died in a gas explosion in Sara, Gwaram Local Government Area of Jigawa State.


Police spokesman Abdu Jinjiri, said two others were injured in the explosion.

He said: “Last week, there was a fire incident in the house of Alhaji Wada Sara, and the following people – Zainab Wada, Abdul Wada, Aliyu Wada, Fati Wada and Abdulrahman Wada – sustained injuries and were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Birninkudu.

“The fire was from a cooking gas cylinder which exploded. Fati (3), Zainab (2) and Abdulrahman (4) later died at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, where they were taken for further treatment.”
