The Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organisation has accused Governor Ayodele Fayose of parading his supporters as fake INEC observers to blackmail the electoral body as a non-credible umpire to supervise free and fair election.

A statement by the Director, Media and Publicity of the Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organisation, Wole Olujobi, said Fayose will never succeed in misleading the nation into undeserved sympathy, saying any orchestration to discredit the Saturday governorship election in the state will never succeed.

The statement said: “We are aware of Governor Fayose’s devious orchestration in his blackmail stunt to discredit the entire process leading to the Saturday poll.

“He started his stunt three days ago when he lied that he was attacked by the police, resulting in the break of his neck.

“After blackmailing the police and succeeded in misleading the public, he went crawling in the night begging the police for forgiveness.

“Soon, Nigerians understood his trick and he is here again lining up his supporters he recruited from the neighbouring state who he dressed in INEC observers uniform in front of journalists camera just to discredit the process that will produce Dr Kayode Fayemi as the governor that Ekiti people want.

“This blackmail will not succeed and we hereby urge the good people of Ekiti State and Nigerians in general to discountenance this fraud to discredit this election.

“Fayose knows that his candidate, Prof Olusola Eleka, will lose this election after more than half of PDP members had deserted him.

“He is also aware of the backlash of the greed and heartlessness of his master in the manner he collected billions of naira in intervention funds to pay salary but diverted all, including cancellation of life-lifting schemes by Fayemi that greatly helped in lifting our people out of poverty.

“Eleka and Fayose are face to face with the reality of defeat and that is why they are trying all tricks to mislead the public and discredit that process that will produce Fayemi as the governor in tomorrow’s poll.”

He urged Ekiti people to disregard the parade of fake observers, saying those that Fayose had paraded are his supporters who he had tutored to present themselves as INEC observers.
