President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday, May 14, 2018, declare open the 8th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Heads of Anti-corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa. .
The conference will hold at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja at 9 Oโclock in the morning.
The 5-day conference which is jointly organised by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the Commonwealth Secretariat will be a forum for discussing burning issues of asset recovery and return.
It will also afford the relevant stakeholders in the fight against corruption the opportunity to establish and strengthen ties with Law Enforcement Agencies in Commonwealth Africa.
The conference will foster collaboration in anti-corruption efforts in the region and promote peer learning and exchange of best practices in the fight against #corruption. .
President Buhari will deliver the keynote address at the opening ceremony. Also expected at the conference is Ms. Patricia Scotland, Secretary General of the Commonwealth and Thabo Mbeki, former South African President.
The Association of the Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa is a network of Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa established in 2011 by the Commonwealth Secretariat.
