The Police in Ogun State have arrested 29-year-old Soji Ogunrinola aka bulldozer for defiling a 13-year-old girl.
His arrest followed a complaint by the victim’s step-father, Monsuru Badmus, of Ogiri Ojule village in Odeda Local Government Area of the state.
Badmus had informed the Odeda Police Station that the suspect forcefully defiled the girl, who was spending holiday with them in the village.
Police spokesperson Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspect threatened to kill the little girl if she ever discloses the alleged rape to her guardian or anybody.
Abimbola, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP), added that when the mother of the girl noticed some blood stain on girl’s clothes, she decided to question her daughter about the discovery.
According to Oyeyemi, the victim narrated what happened to her mother and the threat of the suspect on her life.
The police spokesperson said the Divisional Police Officer, Odeda Division, Mr. Muhammad Suleiman and some detectives went to the scene and arrested the suspect.
“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime while the victim was taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta for medical examination.
