The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)yesterday visited the home of late former Vice President Dr Alex Ekwueme to condole with the family.
Ekwueme was one of the founding fathers of the PDP.
The delegation that visited the late Ekwueme’s family in Enugu was led by the PDP National Charmian, Prince Uche Socundus.
Others are the Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Jublim Aminu, a former National Chairman of the PDP, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chukwuemeka Ihedioha, former Plateau State Governor David Jang.
Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi accompanied the delegation to the Ekwueme family.
Secondus consoled the family and told them that it is God that can resolve all issues including the issue of death.
He noted that the PDP which Ekwueme and others founded has a national representation and has no room for sectionalism.
Chidi Ekwueme Onyemelukwu, daughter of the late Vice-President, thanked the PDP leadership for honoring her father.
She advised the PDP to instil discipline in its ranks.
