A priest betrayed the trust of a young girl by assaulting her while giving her a ride with his car, according to police in Tennessee.
Chester County police said that they have arrested 53-year-old Mike Ulmer, after being accused of forcing his fingers into the girl’s mouth.
Ulmer has been charged with one count of assault. He was booked into jail, and his bail has been set at $250,000. A judge ordered Ulmer to have no contact with the victim or her family.
According to the police investigation, Ulmer was the preacher at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, and a teacher at the Chester County High School.
The girl, who was not identified, cleaned the priest’s home and was then offered a ride home. While riding in his car, Ulmer asked her to open her mouth.
When she refused. Ulmer pulled over. He then forced her head on his lap and forced open her mouth. He then forced his fingers into her mouth.
The girl recorded the attack with her cell phone, police said.
After the attack, Ulmer ordered the girl to apologize and give him a hug. Ulmer has been suspended from school without pay.
