A married woman because extremely angry with her secret lover because he did not want to take her shopping, according to police in the United Kingdom.
41-year-old Jodie Hargreaves of Risca, was arrested on a charge of assault after being accused of knocking out the teeth of 62-year-old Robert Newbury.
Now, Hargreaves has been sentenced to serve 10 months in prison, which was suspended, after pleading guilty to one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
According to the police investigation, Hargreaves and Newbury met at a bar and they had a sexual relationship for several months.
One day, Hargreaves knocked on Newbury’s door, but he told her to go away because he was not feeling well. Hargreaves kicked in the door of his house and then launched a vicious attack.
Hargreaves punched Newbury two or three times. She then grabbed a glass milk bottle and hit him with it two or three times.
Newbury was drenched in blood and ran to a nearby store to get help. Newbury suffered three wounds in his left hand, and two teeth were damaged.
He also suffered cuts and his nose was injured.
