The 35-year-old reality TV star rebuked fears she would cast her vote for Donald Trump following a vague, unpublished excerpt from Wonderland magazine saying she was “on the fence” between the GOP candidate and Hillary Clinton.
“I found that without a doubt, I stand with Hillary. I’m with her,” Kardashian wrote Saturday. “I believe Hillary will best represent our country and is the most qualified for the job.”
During the Wonderland interview in August, Kardashian said she was undecided after having a frank political heart-to-heart with step-parent and longtime Republican Caitlyn Jenner.
“At first I thought, ‘Oh my god, I’m so Hillary [Clinton]’, but I had a long political call with Caitlyn last night about why she’s voting Trump,” Kardashian said in a quote published by the UK’s Evening Standard. “I’m on the fence.”
It’s unclear when Kardashian sat down for the Wonderland interview or when she settled on supporting Clinton in the November election.
On Aug. 7, the mother of two published a selfie with Clinton that appears to endorse the Democratic candidate.
“I got my selfie,” she tweeted. “I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country! #HillaryForPresident.”
Kardashian later said in Saturday’s blog post her children, North and Saint, played a role in her endorsement.
“Now that I have made my choice I want to be clear… I would never judge anyone based on their political or religious beliefs,” she added.
