Jennifer Aniston reportedly had a bittersweet reaction to finding out her ex Brad Pitt was getting a divorce from actress Angelina Jolie, Us Weekly reports.
According to a source, Aniston said “Yeah, that’s karma for you!” when discussing the news of the split.
The “Friends” star, who was married to Pitt for five years, “admittedly feels sort of satisfied about Brad and Angelina’s split,” Us reported.
However, her nice girl persona also allowed her to reveal that she “never wanted this for them or wished this on them,” according to the site.
Aniston and Pitt were Hollywood’s hottest couple in the late 90s. The inseparable pair married in 2000 and divorced five years later, as the “Fight Club” actor embarked on his long term relationship with Jolie.
“She always got the sense that something would happen with them eventually,” the source told the mag.
“She didn’t feel that Angelina was truly the one who Brad was meant to stay with. She always felt that Angelina was too complex for him. He’s a pretty simple guy.”
Jolie, 41, filed for divorce from the 52-year-old “Ocean’s Eleven” star on Tuesday citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The “Tomb Raider” actress is requesting full physical custody of the couple’s six children meaning that they would live with her full time but she would allow Pitt visitation rights.
