A woman who was angry that she was not allowed to purchase a large quantity of gift cards, drove her car into a supermarket and through an aisle, sending shoppers fleeing, according to police in Oregon.

Glenwood police said that they have arrested 43-year-old Noella Fay, after being accused of endangering the lives of shoppers at Safeway by driving into the supermarket.

Fay was charged with reckless endangering, hit-and-run, reckless driving and criminal mischief. According to the police investigation, the incident began around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fay came into the Safeway and tried to purchase $2,200 in gift cards. She tried to pay by check, and when it did not clear, she got furious.

Fay left the store, went into the parking lot and parked her vehicle outside the front doors. When an employee told her to move the vehicle, she started screaming about wanting to buy gift cards.

She then drove her 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe through the doors and into the supermarket. Fay then drove down one of the aisles of the store, and left the store through the back doors.

No one was injured as a result of the incident, but Fay did cause damage.
