Two women were arrested for robbing a nun at knife point.
Police in Massachusetts, arrested the two women, who are said to be a married couple.
The nun of the Daughters of Mary of Nazareth convent, was in civilian clothing when she was robbed, Quincy police said.
Police said that 26-year-old Vanessa Young, approached the nun with a knife and tried to steal the purse from her hand.
When the nun said that she did not have any money on her, Young said: โI’ll guess I’ll take the rosary beads,โ according to police.
When she left, the nun called police. She informed the officers that there was another woman who acted as a lookout during the robbery.
That woman was located near the crime scene. She was identified as Vanessa Youngโs wife, Crystal Young, 26.
Police said that when they searched the women, they found a small knife, six cellphones and a checkbook that belonged to a victim of a previous robbery.
Three of the cellphones belonged to the residents of a house that was broken into earlier that day, police said.
Vanessa Young was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
Crystal Young was arrested on charges of armed robbery and accessory after the fact.
