A police officer was arrested on a charge of murder after allegedly killing his girlfriend in front of four children because she was not submissive, according to police in Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia police said that they have arrested 47-year-old Aaron Wright, after being accused of using a baton to beat his girlfriend to death.
Wright was charged with murder, aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, conspiracy to commit murder and abuse of a corpse for the death of his girlfriend, 24-year-old Joyce Quaweay.
Wrightโ roommate, police officer Marquis Robinson, 41, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated assault and abuse of a corpse for taking part in the killing.
According to the police investigation, on Friday, Wright became angry because his girlfriend was not submissive enough. Wright and Robinson then ripped off Quaweayโs clothes and handcuffed her to a bench.
Wright proceeded to beat her with a baton until she died. The children of Wright and Robinson, watched the attack.
Robinson’s girlfriend came home during the assault and called the police. Police found Quaweay with bruises all over her body from the neck down.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. Both suspects worked for the Temple University Police.
