A young mother was shocked when her son was born with a rare condition that makes him look like an old man.
4-year-old Bayzid Sikder from Bangladesh, was born to his mother when she was just 14 years old.
At first, the young mother, Tripty Begum, said that she wanted to abandon her son over his looks.
However, despite her young age, motherly instincts kicked in and she decided to give her son the best chance in life.
Begum said that her son did not begin school and he does not see himself as any different than the other children. He plays with his neighbors and cousins, who treat him as they would any other child.
Bayzid’s father, Lavlu Hossain Sikder, said that they have taken him to many doctors, who were left baffled by his condition.
The family is having a hard time affording medication for treatment that might work to correct their son’s problem, he said.
