NEIFA holds convention today

The Nigerian Ex-International Footballers Association, (NEIFA will hold its inaugural convention today in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Disclosing this during the week Spokesman of the group, Paul Okoku said the mini-convention will afford the delegates the opportunity to fashion out ways through which they can help shape the future of Nigerian football as well as impart the lives of ex-international who are not doing well after long retiring from playing for Nigeria.

“It is important to note that our objectives are the driving force for our mini convention. Our adopted objectives are: to promote the development of football in Nigeria,  to look after the welfare of former national team players, to serve as ambassadors of football and to be a voice for Nigerian footballers in Nigeria and in the diaspora.
“We want to use this convention to move our organization forward in developing strategies for successful implementation of our goals and objectives for the good of Nigerian Football”, added Okoku,
Event coordinator, Nathaniel Ogedegbe said Francis Moniedafe will be the host of the day. The list of those attending the one-day event  includes Emeka James, Sam Okpodu, Tony Igwe, Humphrey Edobor, Femi Olukanmi, Fatai Atere, Paul Okoku, Totty Totty, Ike Ofoje, Godwin Iwelumo, Dehinde Akinlotan, Godwin Odiye, Thompson Usiyan, Taju Disu, Andrew Uwe, Kenneth Ilodigwe, and Adelabu Adegoke.
Others in the group, which was formerly called Association of Nigerian Ex-internationals in Diaspora, ANED, are Godwin Okoloba, Charles Attila Kanu, Chigozie Offor, Damian Ogunsuyi, Eddie Oyakhilome, David Adiele, Mathew Onyemah, Francis Bukador Okaroh, and Peter Nieketien,
