Cops have arrested the towering creep who raped a woman after forcing his way into her Washington Heights apartment and threatening to kill her with a pair of scissors, authorities said Friday.
Suspect Jean Rodriguez, 23, was spotted on Willis Ave. near E. 148th St. in the Bronx at about 6 p.m. Thursday. Cops arrested him without incident, authorities said.
He was ordered held without bail at his arraignment on rape and burglary charges Friday night.
โThis was a horrible and violent crime,โ Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Maxine Rosenthal told the judge. โHe threatened her, sexually assaulted her and violently assaulted her.โ
The 6-foot-9 sicko knocked on a 20-year-old womanโs apartment at W. 163rd St. and Broadway at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to cops. When the unsuspecting woman answered the door, Rodriguez allegedly forced his way into the apartment and beat her.
He threatened to kill her and held a pair of scissors to her neck as he raped her, according to court documents.
The victim sustained multiple cuts and bruises and was treated at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
She told police she had never seen Rodriguez before.
