World London hosts foreign ministers on insurgency by Joseph Anthony June 6, 2014 written by Joseph Anthony June 6, 2014 157 views 157 Nigeria’s foreign minister will attend a meeting in London next week to discuss how to tackle Boko Haram and terrorism in the African country. British Foreign Secretary William Hague will host Aminu Bashir Wali and envoys from Nigeria’s neighbours Benin, Chad, Cameroon, and Niger, plus the U.S., France, Canada and the European Union for the June 12 meeting. The Foreign Office said the meeting follows up on last month’s Paris summit on Boko Haram and will consider further measures to improve regional co-ordination. Boko Haram, an Islamist terror group, has carried out a wave of deadly attacks in Nigeria and kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls in mid-April. Speaking alongside President Barack Obama in Brussels on Thursday, British Prime Minister David Cameron said both countries are committed to helping Nigeria. 0 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail Joseph Anthony previous post Police repel Biafra group next post Explosion in Dankwabo’s home You may also like Turkey Offers to Host Ukraine Peace Summit with...
