An 11-year-old girl held a knife while telling her mother she wants her
dead for grounding her for smoking, according to police in Michigan. The Battle Creek Police Department said that they have arrested the girl
on a charge of aggravated assault, and she could be tried as an adult
and sentenced to up to life in prison.
According to the mother, after grounding her 11-year-old daughter for
smoking, an argument broke out. When things calmed down a bit, the
mother went to bed.
The girl then grabbed a large knife from the kitchen and went into her
mother’s bedroom. The girl told her mother that she was going to die for
grounding her.
The 30-year-old mother called police after her daughter became violent.
At one point there was a physical confrontation, and the daughter pushed
her mother down.
When police officers arrived at the scene, the girl admitted she was trying to kill her mother.
