A pastor was arrested on a charge of sexual battery on a child after
allegedly having a sexual relationship with a young girl and getting her
pregnant, according to police in Florida.
Fort Lauderdale police said that they have arrested 46-year-old Raymond
Vincent, after being accused of having sex with the 10-year-old girl who
learned that she was pregnant in a hospital.
Vincent was charged with one count of sexual battery on a child and one
count of lewd and lascivious conduct. He was booked into jail, and he is
being held without bail.
According to the police investigation, when the 10-year-old ended up in
the hospital with stomach pain, doctors learned that she was pregnant.
The Broward Health Medical Center called the police to report the crime.
Vincent managed to flee to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, before being
arrested.
He was tracked down and handed over to the Fort Lauderdale police.
Vincent has also been accused of abusing a child 5 years ago.
Police said that he offered the girl food and lured her into his
apartment. Police believe that Vincent had abused many girls, and urged
victims to come forward.
