Adele dedicated her Tuesday night concert at Madison Square Garden to the couple once famously labeled “Brangelina.”
The English singer-songwriter opened up her show by addressing “the elephant in the room” and proceeded to discuss Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce, which was announced Tuesday morning.
“I don’t know them personally, but it feels like the end of an era,” she said to the crowd.
Fans in attendance at the star’s New York City show quickly took to social media to share the pop star’s remarks.
“@adele is freaking about #brangelina on stage at msg this is TOO GOOD,” one Twitter user wrote.
While another added, “Adele just dedicated tonight’s show to Brangelina I’m crying.”
The United Kingdom-native is no stranger to heartbreak — as evident in many of her emotional tunes.
