Kwara Government said it discharged 10 COVID-19 patients. It added that the state recorded one more case on Saturday last week.

Spokesperson of the state Covid-19 Technical Committee Rafiu Ajakaye said: “last night, we recorded one more case. That means we have a total of 150 confirmed cases. 75 of them are active.”

The State on Friday last week revealed that it had so far discharged no fewer than 71 patients with 68 active cases.

Health Commissioner Dr Razaq Raji told reporters in Ilorin, the state capital on the sideline of the presentation of medical equipment to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH).

Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) donated the 40 feet container load of the equipment to the institution.

Dr Raji said: “The equipment they supplied here will be complementary to what the Kwara state government is doing and Kwarans and Nigerian will benefit from it.

“And I am telling you that the state currently has about 143 cases positive, 68 are still active. We are managing them. 71 patients have been managed and discharged. They are well and we have four deaths.”
