The Governing Board of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has approved the promotion of 74 senior officers.
Among them were 4 Deputy Directors who were elevated to the position of Directors.
It was learnt that 23 Assistant Directors were promoted to the rank of Deputy Directors while 48 officers on grade level 14 were moved to the rank of Assistant Directors.
The Governing Board of NIPOST is headed by Barrister Maimuna Yaya Abubakar.
A statement by the General Manager , Corporate Affairs of NIPOST, Mr Franklin Alao, noted the affected officers participated in the recently- concluded promotion examinations for eligible officers under the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
Abubakar said the exercise would be held annually and assured all eligible staff will be given the opportunity to partake in the written and oral interviews in subsequent promotion exercises.
While congratulating officers for their outstanding performances during the exercise the Postmaster General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Dr. Ismail Adewusi, charged the beneficiaries to bring to bear their wealth of experiences in contributing to the progress and development of the organisation.
