A man has died following a serious road collision involving four vehicles on London Road, with police appealing for witnesses as investigations into the incident continue.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 11am following reports of the collision. Despite efforts by emergency responders to provide medical treatment, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Another person involved in the collision was treated for minor injuries. West Mercia Police confirmed that four vehicles were involved in the incident, including two vehicles that were parked and unattended at the time of the collision.
Road closures remain in place along London Road as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. The road closures are currently being managed by the Highways Agency, with police warning that the restrictions are expected to remain in place for some time.
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or have information that could help officers establish what happened. Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision and may have seen the vehicles involved or captured relevant footage.
