The Delta State capital, Asaba was colourful on Wednesday as the curtain was raised for the 2022 National Sports Festival with a colourful opening ceremony performances at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.
The performers thrilled the spectators with dance, music, calisthenics display, and fireworks in what could be described as one of the best spots festival opening ceremonies in recent times.
Dignitaries in attendance include the Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, and four state governors: Stadium, Asaba, Delta State. Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri; Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal.
Also in attendance were the Permanent Secretary, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Ismaila Abubakar, and the House Committee on Sports chairman, Olumide Osoba.
