Pointing out that the Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu stated that ‘the ministry will buy 3,000 jerseys’ in the promotion of the jersey held in Nicosia the other day; KTÖS said, “We demand that the sensitivity shown for football by the Ministry of Education be shown for our education system, students and schools as well. ”
In a written statement on the subject, KTÖS Education Secretary Süleyman Gelener said, “The Ministry of Education has brought the rights of teachers to the agenda by saying that it will save on education during the summer and has set the target to reduce the number of teachers.
The Minister of Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu also stated that they would buy 3000 jerseys as a ministry at the presentation of the jersey made in Nicosia the other day.”
“Does the ministry have a budget of 1 million 620 thousand TL to allocate for jerseys?” Gelener asked.
“If 1 million 620 thousand TL can be allocated to buy a jersey, however, 6000 of the English books that the ministry does not provide to primary schools and cost 270 TL can be bought and sent to schools.
An annual budget of 16,200 TL can be given to 100 primary schools which the ministry does not give a budget to use in cultural and sports activities.
The student transportation fees of schools participating in inter-school sports competitions which are not covered by the ministry can be covered for one year.
