The suspect Princewill Ogochukwu Ohanusi, who was arrested for the crimes of buying and giving drugs in Nicosia, was brought before the court. The court decided to keep the suspect in detention for 3 more days as part of the investigation.

The suspect Princewill Ogochukwu Ohanusi, who was arrested in Nicosia for the crimes of buying and giving drugs, went to court yesterday.

Police officer Kağan Kurtbir, who testified in the court regarding the issue conveyed the findings about the incident.

Kurtbir said that the suspect Princewill Ogochukwu Ohanusı, who was present was involved in the crimes of “Importing, Saving and Giving Illegal Drugs, Cannabis.”

The police said that on Friday September 2, at around 15.00, on Üsküdar Street, a police team working at the PGM-Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate detected suspicious act.

After the control was carried out, a substance believed to be a drug weighing about 1 gram was found in his possession and he was arrested red-handed.

The police stated that the search carried out in the presence of the suspect, who was arrested, at his residence in Nicosia on the same day between 18.10-18.20 with a court order, contained a substance believed to be a drug weighing approximately 65 grams, 11 packages of which were ready for sale, and it was taken as evidence.

Police officer Kağan Kurtbir told the court that when the suspect was asked for an explanation, he admitted to the court that he had bought 70 grams of the said substances on August 26 and sold 3 packages of these packages for 3 thousand TL.

Regarding the matter, the police stated that the person from whom the suspect supplied the said substances and the persons to whom he sold the substances were sought.

The substances taken as a sign would be sent to the laboratory, and demanded that the suspect be detained in the police for 3 days in the first place.

Evaluating the testimony given in her presence, Judge Jale Ergüden ordered the suspect to be kept in police custody for 3 days for investigation purposes.
