Public-Is President Ahmet Serdaroğlu noted that nearly 180 janitors, who have been working under the Ministry of National Education for more than 10 years, were stopped from work en masse in June without any notification. Serdaroğlu argued that employees whose rights were violated were suspended from work because they were unionized.
Defending that the tender for the recruitment of 280 janitors was again disregarded in disregard of labor and labor laws, and that it was called a “cleaning tender”, Serdaroğlu said, “They want to continue exploiting people through companies… We have applied to the judiciary to stop this slavery system.”
In the action before the court, while banners such as “Collective bargaining is our right, we want our legal right” and “We will not give up our union or our rights”, slogans of “the government should resign” were chanted.
CASE DEFERRED
On the other hand, the case of Kamu-İş, which was discussed this morning at the High Administrative Court, was postponed to 1 September.
