…110 laptops distributed to students
…Says primary education is a panacea for a sustainable society
Rep. Ifeanyi Momah, the member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, of Anambra State launched a primary school outreach project in his constituency where he distributed items to some schools.
Rep. Momah, who is the Chairman of the FCT Judiciary Committee, reaffirmed his commitment to delivering education toolkits that will empower the children in his constituency.
Some of the items distributed included computer sets, UPS sets, 50 desks, and 50 chairs for 10 schools in the community.
Others were power generating sets, Laser printers, storage lockers, textbooks, chalks, markerboard, swivel chairs, and other educational materials etcetera. They were distributed under the supervision of the Universal Basic Education Commission.
Rep Momah also donated 110 laptops to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Uli, Ihiala Federal Constituency to assist their ICT department and to foster e-learning.
“Yesterday, I supervised the delivery of 110 laptops to the staff and management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.
“This project was facilitated through the office by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).”
The laptops were received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Ellis Idemobi, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Greg Nwakoby.
The lawmaker stressed the need to bring basic education to all the children in Ihiala Federal Constituency.
Reiterating his commitment, he assured the people that he would do all it takes to revamp the current basic education in Ihiala through legislation, support and oversight.
