‘The need for Imo people to know the truth about the payment of salaries and pensions cannot be overemphasized as the Government of Shared prosperity is about transparency and accountability.
‘The prudent and hardworking Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma has continued to fullfill his promise to Imo people in sincere service to them which includes prompt and upto date payment of workers salaries and pensions’.
Further stating this fact, the Commissioner for Information and strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba at a press briefing said that the Imo State Government has paid salaries and pensions of all the verified Civil service and pensioners respectively and validated in accordance with the automation process up to December 2020.
In the show of transparency and accountability, the state government has directed the office of the ministry of information and strategy to publish names of workers and pensioners fully paid upto date by the government. The need for this also is to expose the blackmails of the vicious opposition and the enemies of Imo people.
The Government has been able to investigate the true make up and amount of workers salaries and pensions which uncovered the corruption in the payment scheme of the civil service and pensions and able to fight the cabal behind them.
He assured Imo people that the Government will not be cowed or blackmailed into doing the wrong thing as all verified and validated worker and pensioner will continue to be paid in full.
