Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has said his commissioner-nominees list will be ready next week.
Diri spoke on Thursday when he met with the Council of Traditional Rulers at its secretariat in Yenagoa, a statement by his Acting Chief Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, said.
The governor said he was mindful of the peopleโs expectation concerning the constitution of his exco, but sought their patience and understanding.
He said: โSince I became governor, I have not met with our traditional rulers as a council. So Iโm happy to be here today.
โNow that we have dispensed with most of the litigations, let me inform our royal fathers that I am ready to constitute my executive council from next week.โ
The governor urged them to work with his administration in promoting peace and stability in their communities, describing them as community leaders closest to the people.
He admonished them to remain apolitical in the administration of their kingdoms.
