COVID-19: Oyo Secretariat partially re-opens Monday

In line with his earlier directives on the reopening of Secretariat, Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde on Saturday ordered civil servants from grade level 13 and above to report to their duty posts with effect from Monday.

Noting that only those with separate offices are expected back at work, Makinde who doubles as the State Chairman of the COVID-19 Task Force, also reeled out various measures put in place to contain spread of the virus.

No specific date was given for other cadre of workers to resume back to work.

The Governor, giving an update after the meeting of Task Force, also said arrangements have been concluded on how to share the palliatives by with 90,000 households identified as the poorest of the poor and 30,000 vulnerable households.

Noting that many other security measures had been put in place within the secretariat, Makinde also noted the 7pm- to- 6am curfew has been relaxed by one hour to allow farmers access their farms ahead of the current planting season.

Makinde, who spoke in company of other members of the task force team, also informed that the COVID-19 patient at Agbami Chest Centre, Jericho would be relocated to the Infectious Disease Centre, Olodo to allow for the upgrade of the Jericho facility.
