The All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA says the Anambra State government and organised Labour are not in conflict of any kind in the state, as being speculated by some people.

The party, therefore, warns opposition parties in the state to stop influencing some faceless and illegal groups to destabilise the state.

Briefing reporters on Saturday in Awka, the Anambra State chairman of APGA, Sir Norbert Obi, distanced the party from the statement issued by an โ€˜APGA media warriorsโ€™, adding that the party had nothing to do with it.

The group led by one Chinedu Obigwe, in a statement issued in Awka, described workers in the state as โ€˜insatiable Oliver Twistโ€™ over the issue of minimum wage in the state.

However, the state chapter of APGA, led by Obi, described the state workforce as the most hardworking, productive and friendly group in Nigeria.

He commended the cordial relationship between the APGA-led government of the state and its workforce.

He also said that it was on record that Anambra State had not experienced industrial unrest since the incumbent governor came on board six years ago.

Obi implored workers and the citizenry to shun the propaganda of its political opponents, pointing out that APGA governments in the state, since 2006, had consistently given good governance and unprecedented verifiable democracy dividends to Ndi Anambra.
