The General Overseer of the Royal Family Inter national Churches, Bishop Tom Samson, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to maintain the federal character policy in appointing people to political offices.
Bishop Samson, who was addressing journalists in Lagos on the churchโs forthcoming Reigning In Life conference titled: โIt Warโ coming up at the Airport Hotel on August 4, 2019, said the President should follow the tenets and the spirit of the constitution by strictly adhering to a quota system in appointing people whether as ministers, heads of parastatals and ambassadors to positions, so that everyone would have a sense of belonging.
He said: โNigeria stands on a tripod stand, comprising the three major tribes โ the Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba. Therefore, the sharing of the political offices should not be lopsided. This is the only way the Buhari administrationโs slogan of Next Level can be meaningfully appraisedโ.
Speaking further on the conference, Bishop Samson noted that the title of the conference, โIts war,โ which started in 2004, generated global impact that made it to be taken to major cities in Nigeria and abroad.
In his words: โThe amazing success of the conference in Lagos made us to take it to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kaduna and abroad, including America and United Kingdom.โ
He noted that the Holy Spirit prompted him to do it again this year because โthere are demonic powers stifling peopleโs progress. This is why we have to declare spiritual warfare against โthese forces.โ
He said: โIn every place in Africa, there is a household of wickedness. People who are supposed to be landlords are tenants. This is what Jesus is determined to change at this conference. I was once a victim. I came from a poor family too. For God to give me the assignment, I have to face it with a sense of mission.โ
โThis yearโs conference is geared to attack bad luck, household wickedness and demonic powers, among others,โ he said.
