The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, on Thursday, May 23, 2019 stated that the youths remain the country’s biggest treasure.
Magu stated this when the Edo State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, Adebayo Ojo, paid a courtesy visit to the Benin Zonal Office of the Commission in Benin City.
Magu who was represented by the Benin Zonal Head, Akaninyene Ezima, said the Commission places emphasis on the youth in the Anti-Corruption fight because they are the future leaders of the country.
โThat is why EFCC carries out sensitization and enlightenment campaign on the ills of corruption, economic and financial crimes during NYSC Orientation Camp,โ Ezima said.
Ojo, noted that the essence of the visit was to strengthen the existing relationship between the EFCC and NYSC in the state.
โEnlightenment campaign on the ills of corruption during Orientation Camp has no doubt gone a long way in reducing the involvement of graduates in economic and financial crimes,โ he said, adding that the NYSC intends to expand such platforms for a more robust and fruitful collaboration.
